Question by Javier: How can my windows read characters in Japanese that are in desktop?
I have installed to write Japanese, but my windows does not recognize yahoo messanger characters that are in Japanese , or if I want to save a file with Japanese characters, the computer does not recognize them. Could you help me please.

– for Windows xp:
You need the Windows Disc to get the East Asian Languages support.

you may also want to set Japanese for non-unicode:
1) In “Regional and Language Options” Dialog (see the link above to see how to reach it), click on Advanced tab.
2) then from the drop down list select Japanese.
3) then click ok.
